With more than 40 years of architectural experience, Ian has worked in practices around the world including South Africa, Swaziland, New Zealand and Australia.

Prior to forming JPRA with Dennis Rabinowitz in 1990, Ian was a Director of BPA Group and was instrumental in the growth of the practice to a team of 85 with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and New Zealand.

He has a diverse portfolio of landmark buildings spanning high-rise commercial offices, medium-density residential projects, industrial properties and campus style corporate park developments.

Ian is committed to designing buildings with minimal impact on the environment and as an early up-taker of ESD, was responsible in the 1990’s for designing a farm house using recycled and recyclable materials in country New South Wales and which was totally solar powered including a solar powered sewerage system and self-sufficient in water collection.
